"Why are We Doing this Again?"

Films: Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964)

Alias: Kimar, Voldar, Droppo, Bomar, Girmar, Momar, Chochem, various others

Type: Alien

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Good

Summary: ........I don't want to do this. It's dumb, just dumb. But you know what? It's harmless enough, so fine. Here's the bio about the Martians that tried to kidnap jolly Saint Nicky.

History: The Martian empire is one of renowned intelligence and productivity...but at what cost? The children have all knowledge implanted via machines, and they spend the majority of their lives depressed and wishing for more in life. According to the eldest Martian, Chochem, the eternally joyous Santa Claus is the answer to the planet's misery. Santa is sent there in due time, and while his influence is positive, one Martian, Voldar, sees him as a threat to society, and vows to kill him...

Notable Kills: None.

Final Fate: Voldar's efforts are foiled by Santa's mechanizations, and the holiday icon gets to return to Earth, having found a worthy successor in Droppo, the king's bumbling yet cheerful assistant.

Powers/Abilities: The Martians have access to a variety of technology, including robots and different ray guns, like a stun gun and...the Tickle Ray. Yeah.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 1-Even the evil Martians are too hammy and safe to be the slightest bit intimidating. Besides, most of this society is well-spoken and charitable. All they really wanted was a reason to smile.

Trivia: -Chochem is named after the Yiddish word for "Genius".

-There's a remake of this film currently residing in Development Hell. Its early drafts called for Jim Carrey to play as Droppo. Let that sink in for a moment.

We could have used a Santa for the previous Martians we've covered.

Hair, I bet, is flammable on Mars. You're doomed.

"BOW BEFORE MY JOLLIENESS!"

Behold. The tickle ray. I have no words.
To the point, I see.

"For the glory of King Ghidorah, God of Despair!"
They voted Droppo to be the savior of Martian Christmas. They're doomed.
